We also have a few surprises in our ‘Learning Series’ of comedy.  Check out the special event guest speakers coming soon:

‘Q & A’ with ‘The Fat Doctor’ – Monday June 16th (FREE)

The Fat Doctor is a mentor to comedians, a comedy writing instructor, and a local DC legend.  In addition to his Comedy Central special, he was writer on the TV show ‘Martin’. He was forced to re-learn his material after a heart attack last year, and hasn’t missed a step in being funny!

‘John Vorhaus’ – August 25th (Special Event)

The author of ‘The Comic Toolbox: How To Be Funny Even If You’re Not’ will be in DC for a full day of seminars.  The costs and location will be released shortly.

Q & A’ with Kelley Baker – Sept 10th (FREE)

Kelley is a master of creating high quality movies and videos inexpensively. In addition to working on films like “Good Will Hunting”, his talents and eye for details makes him one of the most requested artists in Hollywood.

And….For those who want to practice your stand up comedy (or support us by watching it), check out my FREE monthly open mic comedy show:

‘Bellylaughs in Bethesda’ at Caddies on Cordell

BTW – I can’t thank you guys enough for reading my column on ‘Stage Time Magazine’ . It’s currently rated as the most popular column on their website. Here are some links to my articles:

Thanks to everyone for participating in our meetings, the Facebook on-line forums, and via twitter (@dccomedywriters) . Stay focused and continue writing, because ‘That joke ain’t gonna write itself!”
